There is a particular kind of motivation that shows up at 9:30 on a Tuesday night. You have been thinking about getting into security work for months. You finally sit down, look it up properly, and decide you are doing it.
Under the old way of doing things, that was exactly when nothing could happen. The office was closed. Your message would be answered tomorrow, or the day after. By the time somebody got back to you with a price and a date, the moment had passed.
That gap is gone
Enroll in any of our online courses and your material unlocks the moment your order goes through. You can be watching the first module five minutes after you decide. At 9:30 on a Tuesday. On your phone, on the couch.
How the online courses actually work
They are video-based and self-paced. There is no live session you have to attend, no cohort you have to keep up with, no class time you have to book off work.
- Watch on any device: phone, tablet, laptop, work computer on your lunch break
- Stop and start whenever you like: your progress is saved, so a shift change or a sick kid does not cost you anything
- No deadline pressure: you set the pace
- Download your certificate when you finish: it is yours to submit with your application
For most people that means a security license stops being a project and becomes something you chip away at in the evenings.
Which courses you can start immediately
- Texas Level 2 Security Class: $29.99. The state-required starting point. Finish it and you can apply for a non-commissioned security officer license.
- Texas Level 3 Security Class, Part 1: $99.99. The classroom portion of the armed commission course.
- Texas OC (Pepper Spray) Class, Part 1: $29.99. The classroom portion of OC certification.
- Texas Armed Security Recertification, Part 1: $39.99. The online half of your renewal.
The courses that end in "Part 1" are the online half; each has an in-person portion you book separately on our published calendar, on a date you choose.
The in-person portions, scheduled in advance
Three of these courses have a hands-on component you complete separately. That used to be the vague part. It is not anymore: the dates and prices are published on our calendar, with times and the range address in Longview, so you can see your finish line before you start.
Level 3 Part 2 runs the first Sunday of every month ($149.99). OC Part 2 ($9.99) and Armed Recertification Part 2 ($60) run on their own published dates several times a month. LTC shooting qualifications ($50) run multiple times a week.
Pick the date when you enroll. It turns an open-ended intention into an appointment, and appointments get kept.
If you want the whole path
If you already know you want Level 2, Level 3, OC and Level 4, the Security Career Fastrack bundles all six courses for $500 rather than $569.95 bought separately, with the online portions unlocking immediately and all the hands-on training in one three-day session. If you only need one class, buy the one class. There is no package you have to take.
The part nobody mentions
The hardest step in getting licensed is not the coursework. It is starting. Everything we changed about the website was aimed at making that step take thirty seconds instead of three days.
So if tonight is the night, it can actually be tonight.
