Thank you for your interest in becoming an ETXSTA affiliate partner. Please read the policies and agreement below before you complete your affiliate account.
What This Agreement Covers
This agreement applies to our online Texas security officer courses:
- Texas Online Level II Security Class
- Texas Level III Security Class Pt 1 (online)
- Texas OC (Pepper Spray) Class Pt 1 (online)
- Texas Armed Security Recertification Class Pt 1 (online)
You are selling the online portion of these courses. Where a course also has an in-person Part 2 range day, that portion is scheduled and taught by ETXSTA, and it is not part of what you sell.
Agreement
There is no time commitment. Either of us can end this agreement at any time, for any reason, without notifying the other. That said, most of our partners stay on long term, because the arrangement is built to make you money rather than to lock you in.
Marketing the Class
You may market and present the course as your own offering. You are not required to name us in your advertising, on your website, or anywhere in your marketing. Students complete their enrollment and payment on our website, so the handoff happens at checkout without you having to explain the arrangement.
Behind that, the course remains ours. We deliver the instruction, administer the assessments, and issue the certificate of training. What you are selling is our course. The student enrolls with us and we take it from there; you keep the larger share of the fee for making the sale.
One limit on this. Selling our course does not transfer any approval, license, registration, or credential of ours to you, and it does not give you any standing with the State on the basis of our approvals. Market the class freely, but do not claim to hold an approval, license, or registration that you do not actually hold, and do not describe yourself as endorsed by a state agency because you sell our courses.
You remain responsible for your own business’s compliance with whatever rules apply to it. Nothing here is legal advice, and if you are unsure of your own obligations you should confirm them with the appropriate state agency or your own attorney rather than relying on us.
Payments
You keep 75% of the course fee on every enrollment that comes through your link. We keep 25%.
Your share is paid to you at the moment the student enrolls. There is no monthly payout cycle, no minimum threshold, and nothing to invoice us for. The split happens automatically at the time of sale, and our portion comes out then.
We handle the payment setup. You do not need to configure anything technical, install anything, or build a checkout. When your affiliate account is created we will ask you for the details we need in order to pay you, and we set the rest up on our end. Once that is done your payouts run automatically on every sale, with nothing further for you to do.
You are paid only for sales made through your link. If a student finds their way to our site and enrolls some other way, that enrollment is not credited to you. This is uncommon, because the links we give you take the student straight to checkout, but it does happen occasionally.
Your Store Page — Do Not Upload Images
Creating an affiliate account automatically generates a store page for you on our website. Do not upload any photos or logos to that page.
That page is not a storefront and is not meant to be seen by students. Your sales come from the direct checkout links we give you, which you place on your own website and send your own customers to. Nobody browsing our site will land on your page.
Our Images, Logos and Course Material
You do not have permission to use images, logos, or branding from this website. We own them and they may not be reproduced without written permission.
The same goes for the course content itself. The slides, videos, written material and assessments inside our online courses are ours. Affiliate access lets you sell our courses; it does not give you a license to copy, re-record, re-host, or teach that material as your own. You are selling the course, not delivering it.
Paid Advertising and Our Brand Name
You are welcome to advertise. You are not welcome to advertise on our name. Bringing us students you found is the whole point of the partnership; intercepting students who were already looking for us is not, and we treat it as a serious breach.
You may not bid on our brand terms in Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, or any other paid search or paid social platform. This includes:
- “ETXSTA”, “East Texas Security Training Academy”, and “etxsta.com”, on any match type
- Common misspellings and spacing variants of those terms
- Our brand terms combined with any other word, for example “ETXSTA level 2”, “ETXSTA reviews”, or “ETXSTA login”
You must add our brand terms as negative keywords in every campaign you run. Broad match will otherwise pick them up on its own, and “my campaign caught it automatically” is not a defense we accept. Setting the negatives is your responsibility, not ours.
You also may not use our name, our domain, or anything confusingly similar in ad headlines, ad descriptions, display URLs, sitelinks, or any other visible part of an advertisement.
Commissions earned from traffic obtained in breach of this section are not yours to keep and are repayable to us on demand, whether or not they have already been paid out. We may also close your affiliate account immediately, without notice, for a breach of this section.
Refunds and Chargebacks
Our online courses carry a no-refund policy. A student gets instant access to the paid material on purchase, so refunds are not offered after enrollment. In practice this means refunds are rare.
They are not impossible, though. We may refund a student at our discretion, a payment may be disputed with the card issuer, or a card may turn out to be fraudulent. When that happens, the affiliate absorbs it.
Specifically, if an enrollment credited to you is refunded, charged back, or otherwise reversed:
- Your commission on that enrollment is reversed. Because you are paid instantly at the point of sale, the money is usually already in your account, and we will recover it by deducting from your next payouts or by requiring repayment directly.
- Any fee the payment processor charges on a disputed payment is yours, not ours.
- If a card issuer decides a dispute in the student’s favor, that decision is final for our purposes. We do not re-credit a commission because you disagree with the outcome.
The reasoning is straightforward: you chose the student and you keep the larger share of the sale, so you carry the risk that comes with that sale. A pattern of disputes or fraudulent payments on your link is also grounds for us to close your account.
Account Deletion
We reserve the right to close any affiliate account at any time, without notice and without giving a reason.
In practice we periodically clear out accounts that have gone dormant or that were never finished being set up. We will also close an account over conduct we consider inappropriate for a partner of ours. Our reputation with students and employers is the whole business, and we protect it.
Final Agreement
By continuing with your affiliate account you accept the terms above. If you do not accept them, simply do not proceed. Thank you.
