Part 2 is the brief in-person practical portion of OC (pepper spray) certification, usually 5–10 minutes, completed after the online Part 1.

You are not required to be sprayed as part of this course. No federal or state law requires you to undergo exposure to OC.

After completing both parts you receive your Pepper Spray Training Certificate (PSP PSC). Texas DPS requires armed security officers to hold this certification before legally carrying pepper spray on duty.
