DESCRIPTION:Two-day class. Day 1 — Sunday\, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Day 2 — Monday\, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Sixteen classroom hours in total. \nLevel IV is not a general “advanced” security tier — Texas DPS requires it specifically for anyone applying for a Personal Protection Officer (bodyguard) licence. \nIt is a minimum 15-classroom-hour course taught by a DPS-approved personal protection instructor\, in addition to the Level II and Level III training every commissioned officer completes. \nTo be licensed as a Personal Protection Officer you must also: \n\nBe at least 21 years old\nHold\, or apply for\, a Security Officer Commission\nComplete a Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) evaluation confirming you are not disqualified for a mental health reason
